Mrs. Angela Flavin has worked at PK Yonge for 18 years. Her role as the Learning Community Leader allows her to work with all of the students and teachers within the 2nd and 3rd grade learning community, while also focusing on students who need additional assistance in their areas of academic need. In her spare time, she enjoys reading as many books as she can find and playing with her two sons, Jack and Tommy. She also enjoys riding in the cars her husband, Kevin, restores.
Mrs. Blake Beckett is a third grade teacher and grew up in Gainesville and is beginning her 20th year of teaching. This is her fourth year at PK Yonge and she loves having her two children, Bryce and Bailey, here with her. She enjoys camping and hiking with her husband Brian, who is a teacher at Camp Crystal where they met many moons ago.
Ms. Natalie Andrews is a second grade teacher working in the 2/3 learning community. This is her 3rd year teaching and her 3rd year at PK Yonge. She interned in the 2/3 Community and is excited to be back! She loves spending time with her family and friends, doing anything outdoors, and reading.
Mrs. Dicy Watson is a third grade teacher entering her tenth year of teaching and her fourth year at PK Yonge. She enjoys spending time with her husband, John, and their three sons, Tristan, Rafe, and Finn. They love traveling and discovering new places. Aside from teaching, photography is Mrs. Watson's second passion and she always has a camera in her hand.
Mrs. Amanda Ortiz is a second grade teacher going into her eleventh year of teaching this school year and is expecting a baby girl at the end of September with her husband Henry! She enjoys traveling to far off places , shopping for anything pink for her baby girl, and going to the beach.
Mrs. Mindi Bates is a second grade teacher and has been teaching for over 20 years. This is her tenth year working at PK Yonge. Her passion is working with students experiencing academics difficulties with reading and math. In her spare time she loves spending time with her family, reading, quilting, and scrapbooking.
Mrs. Elizabeth Jacobbe is a third grade teacher who strives to meet the needs of all students. She uses assessment data in formative ways to differentiate instruction. This is her 5th year at P. K. Yonge and her 12th year teaching. Her experience includes teaching grades K-5 in the states of Hawaii, Ohio, and Florida. In her spare time she enjoys watching her kids swim, traveling with her family, running with her husband, playing with her dog and cat, spending time on Disney Cruise Lines, discussing literature in her book club, and creating art. She loves to learn and looks forward to creating new lessons this year.
